The piano is foundational to all other music. Your child will learn music theory, ear training, and music appreciation which will not only provide hours of enjoyment but open the door to learning every other instrument.
Ukulele
The ukulele is making a come back. This small guitar-like instrument is the perfect size for small hands. The learning curve is gentle with immediate success from the very first lesson.

Diana taught two of my children to play several instruments during their school years. Although they have both graduated, they continue to enjoy their chosen instruments and hold on to the strong love of good music that Diana helped instill in them. We highly recommend both her private and group lessons! -- Lisa
We have been privileged to enjoy Ms. Diana’s exceptional teaching skills for the past 7 years. In that time, she worked with 4 of my children in private lessons. Not only did they grow in their skill and love for music, but their character was also shaped in many ways by her consistent firm, yet gentle approach. Her quality instruction and patience is unmatched. She is a gem in the homeschool community at large. -- Frances
Diana taught all 3 of my children. It began with private piano lessons and grew into her teaching 2 of them string instruments. Not only did she pour her love of music into each of my kids, but she taught them techniques & disciplines that they still continue to use daily. She is a treasure to anyone (child or adult) seeking to learn more about music. -- Sara

Let Me Introduce Myself
My name is Diana Dow. I am the mother of 6, mother in-law of 5, grandmother of 14, and recently widowed after the passing of my husband of nearly 42 years.
I am a 1980 graduate of Amarillo High School where I participated in the amazing orchestra program taught by Ron Wells who lead us to earning the TMEA Honor Orchestra my sophomore year. I was also a member of the TMEA All-state orchestra for 3 years.
I have had the privilege of playing with the Amarillo Symphony, Tupelo Symphony, Lubbock Symphony, and The Orchestra of the Pines located in Nacogdoches, TX. I have taught private violin and piano lessons for nearly 30 years. I founded and taught The East Texas Home School String Orchestra in Lufkin, Texas and The Coastal Bend Strings in Corpus Christi, Texas.
I homeschooled my 6 boys for a total of 29 years which lead me to teach many classes in various co-ops: Ukulele, Recorder, a Charlotte Mason style music class, Latin and Crochet.
I love to teach the Bible to women and children and have a blog where I offer encouragement, ideas and original songs/hymns I have written: Bible Songs and More and another that is more family/home focused: A Keeper At Home.
I am now returning to my beloved Amarillo and want to share my love of music with you.
